Just out of curiosity, did anyone ever find Rex intimidating? He had a tendency to give me the creeps when I was a kid, and I always cried when Rex attacked and bit Fly.

His character was drawn to be the "surly old man disappointed and disillusioned by life" and we all know a lot of those. His actual story which comes about half way through the movie gave me reason to forgive him for being so hard on Babe.

I intend to live forever. So far so good.

I was shocked! Rex is voiced by the creepy 'V' from "V from Vendetta"!! Natalie Portman's shaved head!!!

It doesn't help that they play villain music every time he talks or shows up.

You finally have sympathy for Rex and feel sorry for him once Fly explains to Babe about his story and how he's nearly deaf.
