A minor irritation

I love this movie. It's in my list of all time favorites. But a small thing has always bothered me. When the President and Sydney are in the china room, he has to answer a call. In the space of about 2 seconds, he leaves the room, answers the phone, gets his message about bombing CSTAD and returns to the room. How is that even possible?

Its the White House; you really think they don't have phones set up for Presidential use very few yards? I always thought it was something like that, or just dramatic license.

It's more like about 10 seconds. It's a serious situation, that the government has clearly been following. The President is told of the bombing and breaks off the call to attend the response meeting. I didn't see an issue.🐭
