I liked Huck Finn better.

i liked tom and huck better but thats just my opinion
sharetom and huck is a kid's movie. the adventures of huckleberry finn is a mixture between a kid's novel and an adult novel. it explores many more themes than the movie and is therefore much more insightful. the movie is very entertaining though.
shareYeah either way though neither of the two are closely related to the books anyway
shareI`ve read both of the books and seen both of the movies. Huck Finn is more related to the book, but the movie took the spirit away from it - I find it boring. When I was little I found it scary and boring.
So my answer would be that I prefer Tom & Huck over The Adventures of Huck Finn. Definately.
When I was a kid my choice would've been Tom and Huck. Now its Huck Finn. Better script, better acting, better everything really.
shareI always wondered why they didn't do Huck Finn as the proper sequel to this movie instead of recasting the role with Elijah Wood and doing a whole new movie.

Brad renfro did an amazing job as Huck.
shareThey wanted to cast Wood as Huck in this film as well, but he was busy making FLIPPER and couldn't do it. That is why Renfro got the part. I prefer Renfro's Huck to Wood's; Renfro has more edge and seems more dangerous, the way you could imagine Huck really being. I wonder if they rewrote the role to suit Renfro's "bad boy" image. The character certainly seems a lot different than the one Wood played in the previous film. It's hard to imagine Wood's sweet but mischievous Huck as being the same character from this film, where he is definitely not sweet.
