I'm not quite sure how/why you didn't get this, but he was, indeed, just...yeah. Nothing with the princess. It wasn't related, not more so than he saw the princess' naked torso just before and couldn't control himself.

They never show him doing the princess so it'll be a surprise at the end when the guy screams that his new bride is not a virgin. And you know he got with her at some point because he says: "They have ways of telling that?" when Greenwall tells him what the warrior said. So you have to assume he boinked her at some point, they just didn't show it but left you to assume it from that ending scene.
