Disappointing.

This was a really horrible, immature sequel to the original Ace Venture. The first was quirky and original, but this seems something more designed for children. I rewatched it again after many years and was so disappointed - Ace is like a caricature of himself in Pet Detective. He didn't really seem himself, it was too over the top and obnoxious. It was weird.

Oh, I absolutely agree, but I still really like the movie, it has too many funny bits for me to dislike it. That said, the first one was better though and is the one I'd choose if I could only have one.
