Why can't Warner release the uncut version here in the UK?!?

For any Americans on this, the UK theatrical, VHS and DVD releases of the film are heavily cut by the BBFC (British Board Of Film Classification, sort of like the UK's answer to the MPAA) to remove most of the adult humour to receive a PG certificate. As of 2012, Warner has STILL not released the film in its uncut form in the UK.

It is a load of sh*t that this isn't uncut for the UK yet, but going by many recent blu-ray releases in the UK, I'm guessing that this will be one of the films that will be passed uncut when submitted to the BBFC for re-release.

Perry's dead. That doesn't mean you're right and I'm wrong, it means Perry's dead.

Yeah, you're right. "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" was finally released uncut on UK Blu-ray and THAT was a WB film.

Kind of ironic that the UK theatrical is still heavily cut by the BBFC, considering that the film's opening "Cliffhanger" scene has some elements that were originally cut out being left uncut when it was shown on Channel 5 on January 22nd 2012. Some of the BBFC cuts remained that day due to the fact that it was screened at only 5pm. But yeah, why can't the UK finally have an uncut version?

To be entirely honest, that sounds like the exact same version that was screened on BBC one in 2006/7, around 11pm. It even had the line "We'll go and get the b*****d" with the "b" word cut out. I might still have this version recorded somewhere. My guess would be that it's a standard UK TV version sent out for broadcast by Warner Bros. I understand that the version shown on "Watch" around 2009 was also identical.
