with the success of Dumb and Dumber to, they'll be a direct sequel to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls that will ignore Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective and to have Jim Carrey back as the animal loving goofball detective. Allrighty then!

If it's anything like Dumb and Dumber To, I actually hope the OP is not correct. Dumber To was a real disappointment and feels more like a cash-in with all these sequels of classic movies starring the original actors such as Indiana Jones, Die Hard etc.
I would rather rewatch and enjoy Ace Ventura 2, and even the IMO lesser Ace Ventura.
