Anyone else really disappointed and annoyed by this sequel? It has none of the originality, charm and wit of the first Ace Venture movie. It's so childish and too slapstick (in a lame way). I really dislike it but everyone else seems to love it.

I didn't like the sequel the first time I watched it. Similar to you, I felt they re-used too many of the jokes from the first movie. However, every time I've watched the movie afterward, I seem to catch something I hadn't noticed before.
