Memories! I first found Xena on the USA Network in 1998.
as of July 25... they moved to primetime with Xena at 8/7c Hercules at 9/8c on weeknights...
Not sure if Saturday is getting shuffled...
as to the order of airing the 'On TV' tab from IMDb as well as Listing site zap2it are both off, citing season 3, when the Xena episodes airing have been from Season 6
In Los Angels it's not carried by DirecTV and I have had no luck getting an over the air signal from channel 13.4 so I guess I can't watch.

...don't want anybody to be influenced by Xena's message of freedom. It's like they don't want their Gabrielles to be influenced by Xena...
More: It will be streaming in Canada from Shomi starting February 5th.
shareThis is very great news. Thank you.
💕ty all for very active Xena board.proof it's still so captivating💕
I think it speaks volumes to the ever growing cost of cable, sat etc.. and to the rubbish we get nowadays in the form of reality TV. I've never seen a lot of the Xena series, so its like watching a new show for me. It beats reality TV anyday.
shareYes, I caught this by accident! I was channel-flipping one day and I found Xena. What a nice surprise. I've caught a couple episodes now, and it sure is fun to see them again.
Hercules came back too, and runs the hour ahead of Xena. I can't believe these shows are 20 years old already. Amazing.

When the show was originally on, I found it the same way. I was drawn in by the well done sword fights initially, then started watching pretty regularly.
As an FYI,
Do not hold your breath for Xena or Hercules on BluRay, because both were filmed on 16mm film. The 35mm cameras were too heavy to use in the New Zeland wilderness, and so they contain less than 1/4 of the visible pixels of a 35mm image. That would make it really, really impractical to CGI enough pixels for the high def media.
(I have already seen one BluRay release of a movie that states on the case that it is the same resolution as the DVDs, 480p, not 1080p... why bother with the BluRay then? Beware! That info was only included in the technical specs table, and not emphasized in any way.)
Also, the newer thin case releases of Xena and Hercules have only the 2.0 sound, while the original DVD releases of Xena and Hercules have 5.1 sound.
Ha ha, no, I wasn't holding my breath for BluRay releases, but that was very interesting trivia.
Those sword fights you mentioned have great sound effects, BTW. I always get a kick out of the blades ssssswwwwisssshing through the air.

I've been watching. And yes, Lucy Lawless STILL turns me on something fierce.
