Could someone please enlighten me......

In the episode ''fly on the wall'', D.I. Grim sings a song that was released by Kojak (according to Grim) which goes like:-

"If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you?"

I was almost in tears through laughter at Grim's dance and the counstables in the background waving their arms to the tune.

Could anyone please tell me the name of the song he sings that extract from??

The song's title is "If". I originally thought is was by David Soul (of Starsky & Hutch fame), then realized it was by Bread.

Yup, Bread was the first. I think Savalas did it next and David Soul thought he could do better than Telly.

That's probably why I thought it was David Soul at first, though I didn't know that Telly had a go at it, too. Interesting. Thanks for the info.

Wasn't it "Come on Silver Lady" that he says Kojak sang?

reply

I believe he sings that right before he breaks into "If".
