I'd really like to get a sound clip of DI Grim saying these immortal words. I have a friend who's adopted it as something of a catch phrase of his own when orgainising people and it would be soooo good to have it was say a ring tone or just embedded in a email to him. I can't see to find it anywhere and I have no facility to make it myself. Anyone got any ideas? Feel free to post here or email me chinn at ntlworld dot com

shareI love fannying about. There's one part in the series where he goes on this long rant about fannying about:
"Be quick, don't fanny about. I've no time for fannying, about or otherwise. Fanny about on somebody else's time, not mine, 'cause I haven't got any. Find someone who's got time to fanny about and fanny about with them. I haven't, mate, so fannying about with me is out."
