So if nebulas always seem to be a bad thing...

then why does Voyager go into warp directly towards a nebula in the opening credits?

reply

Cuz they iz badass.

reply

Because some people are always trying to ice-skate uphill.

reply

Maybe their course doesn't go through the nebula, but it just looks that way from our angle. Space, it's complicated.

Also, nebulas aren't always bad. Most times they're harmless. Like the one Voyager moves through near the beginning of the intro, when Mulgrew, Beltran, and Dawson's names are shown.

reply

I wonder if in the future there people say "That's totally nebular, dude!" or some such phrase. It seems like they would.

reply

Do future hillbillies say, "Well polarize my warp coils and call me a Romulan!"?

reply

I reckon they would

reply

Nebulas are all good man.

reply

Not all nebulas are bad, some have coffee inside!

reply

More importantly, what the hell kind of tiny ringed planet are they going to that their ship is THAT huge compared to it and leaving that kind of shadow??

Apathy on the rise, no one cares

reply

Wearing a red uniform was never a good idea either, but there you go.
