Far better the n x-men tas

shareat least in my books ( but then again i didnt discover xmen tas till last year and grew up with this show)
shareWhich is funny considering X-Men had a two year jump start on Spidey and wasn't nearly as emasculated in terms of censorship. The primary advantage Spidey had was cleaner, more consistent animation (though the reasonably dark lit animation of the 90s X-Men series did give it a certain atmosphere).
shareI really loved X-Men season 1-2 but I think it went downhill afterwards. The last season is just terrible.
Spider-Man actually had five good seasons in my opinion so I agree. Spider-Man is superior.
When the choice is between a American and a Russian film, always choose the latter.
Really? I felt Spiderman suffered from to much censoring then X-Men.
“A ridiculously small group of my most incompetent and silliest troops awaits them."
X-men is better in my book. Spiderman had censoring up the ass, constant re-used clips, and the pacing was bad. Did they really have to make each episode go a million frames per minute?
I liked all the '90s shows except for The Avengers. That show was just AWFUL!!! Spider-Man and X-Men both had their charms. Yes, Spider-Man was censored more than the other shows, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was BAD.
shareHas this forum suddenly gone censorship happy? That's like, everyone's new favorite word around here or something? Look, people... every network has censors. Even premium pay channels like HBO and Showtime have them. I honestly don't know how people getting punched in the face every other minute or Carnage running around slaughtering random people on the street would somehow make this show SUPER F@#ING AMAZING!!!!!1!!
shareYour exaggerating. The problem with the censoring is the show didn't work their way around it. Like other animated action shows during the 90s. Batman TAS and Gargoyles were hit with censors too but they never allowed it to affect the actions scenes or the animation of the show. Thats always been one of the problems with this show the actions were dull and clunky.

Most of the time it was laser guns. The gun episode was a probably the only time an actual gun hurt someone on the show. Most of the time the gun would be smashed or lost. Spider-Man did show some some blood as well.
And I wasn't talking about guns or blood. I'm talking about the action scenes. Gargoyles and Batman despite being censored half the time manage to make terrific action scenes. Which is something Spider-Man TAS never did. Case in point the Venom episode. One of the most boring episodes ever. They barely touched each other. And again the reusing old footage for action scenes really irritated me.
I assure you that Batman and Gargoyles were not as censored at all in any way compared to this show. That doesn't mean you have to like the show but the fact is it was given many limitations from the start (and In my opinion ,managed to overcome many of them)
shareI assure you that Batman and Gargoyles were not as censored at all in any way compared to this show. How is that assuring me? Thats just your word.
That doesn't mean you have to like the show but the fact is it was given many limitations from the start (and In my opinion ,managed to overcome many of them)First off I didn't say I hate the show. I criticized the action scenes which were terribly lacking. Don't be so sensitive, not every show is perfect.
but it is a simple fact that Batman and Gargoyles were not as censored as this show was? Why can't you just accept this? This doesn't mean you have to like what they did in the show, but it is a clear fact. I too have watched all these shows and it is clear as day to me
sharebut it is a simple fact that Batman and Gargoyles were not as censored as this show was?First off thats not a question.
Why can't you just accept this?Again its not a fact, its your opinion. How am I suppose to accept that?
This doesn't mean you have to like what they did in the show, but it is a clear fact.Ugh no its your opinion get over it. share
I watched both as a kid. Spider-Man during the week and X-Men on Saturday mornings. Prefer the stories and animation of X-Men. But this version of Spider-Man is still great and far superior then the other versions
I liked the first few episodes of Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
I don't really agree. I actually like all 5 seasons of X-Men TAS. The only episode of Season 5 I don't like is Jubilee's theater. I liked Spider-Man TAS and X-Men TAS equally. This was the first show to have Norman Osborn as Green Goblin.
"Time to die! Like a man!" Venom Spider-Man Web of Shadows
I grew up watching both shows and now I find Spider-Man much more enjoyable, but then again I'm a bigger fan of Spidey than of the X-Men in general.

Nah, X-Men is much better... no contest.
shareI think that the preference is going to come down to which characters/mythos/franchise the individual prefers in general.
