Package this show on DVD with....

some Boston Common and Men Behaving Badly. That i would buy for way more than a dollar. Do you realize that if Must See TV consisted of Single Guy, Men, Boston Common and 2 guys and a Girl it would be a hell of a lot better than whats on now.

and please spare me the genius that is the office.

Hell yeah! I support your petition. "Single Guy" and "Boston Common" are really underrated sitcoms. I loved the humor in both shows. It was really creative.

i loved this show. i was so pissed when it went off the air. this was the funniest show on TV when it was on.

i totally concur to put boston common out on DVD with the single guy. boston common was another great comedy that should have lasted longer.

I am pretty shocked that this hasn't had a DVD release. You have some similar nineties sitcoms getting the DVD treatment - Dave's World, Caroline in the City... This program lasted two seasons - which is more than Freaks and Geeks, Wonderfalls, My So-Called Life, etc...

You know what. It wouldn't hurt to try. Let's look into it and keep this board updated.

What we will need to know;

Who owns The Single Guy?
Who has the ability to distribute the series?
Who will help our cause?
Why should The Single Guy be released on DVD?
What will make The Single Guy attractive to the DVD market?
How can we persuade the owners effectively?
Where is this demand coming from and how big is it?

If The Dana Carvey Show can get a DVD release, it's entirely possible for this to be on DVD. Talk soon.

THE SINGLE GUY (Situation Comedy)

First Telecast: September 21, 1995.
Last Telecast: April 16, 1997

Executive Producer/Creator: Brad Hall (Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s husband, creator of Watching Ellie, co-anchor of SNL Weekly Update 1982-84)

Cast:
Jonathan Silverman
Joey Slotnick (Family Guy, Nip/Tuck)
Ming-Na Wen
Mark Moses (Human Target in 2010?)
Jessica Hecht
ERNEST BORGNINE!!! The biggest name in the series and in both seasons.

Season Two: Olivia D’Abo (The Wonder Years), Shawn Michael Howard

Okay so the biggest names attached to this project is Brad Hall and Ernest Borgnine.

SHOW FEATURES:
Was a prime time show over the span of three years apart of NBC’s “Must-See-TV”

It was one of the highest rated shows to ever get cancelled, consistently attaining 4th or 5th place in the Nielsen Ratings

GUEST STARS;
David Schwimmer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jack Black, Conan O'Brien, Paula Abdul

Season Two: Davy Jones, Al Roker, Peter Boyle, Jenna Elfman, Molly Shannon, Kristin Davis,

As you can see the strongest reasons for The Single Guy coming to DVD would be the special guest stars. The Dana Carvey Show was released on DVD with the power of Charlie Kaufman, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell’s name. I think there is a strong case to do the same here.
