So what happened when the dad got shot?

I remember catching a few episodes when the show originally aired, and the last episode I saw was the dad getting shot. I actually remember the shots being fired, and then "to be continued", and then I think I caught part of the continued episode where they show that he was the one that got shot, and TK was getting kicked out of their house I think.

So I just saw the episode where he gets shot again, and I was curious how that all ended. Was the dad okay and TK allowed back in their house or what?

Well RObert died and was talen by an angel to his family. He posessed Nicholas's body and told Zaria and CeCi that TK is part of their family and they should think about what "dad" would say. So Robert got out of Nick's body and was taken back to his body and came out of his coma. TK went to visit Robert in the hospital, where his wife was as well. Blah blah they talked, Robert woke up and told the kids that he forgives TK. They apologize as well noticing their actions towards him, they accept him back into the house and happily ever after. I'm glad they are showing re runs again on TBS in the mornings.

In the episode where Robert got shot. Notice this, the next time you watch it. One of the thugs who robbs TK and is there when Robert is shot. One of the thugs is now a famous singer and actor. It is Tyrese! He doesn't even have a line in the scenes. He's just an extra. Now he's a bigger star then any one on "The Parent 'Hood". From his CD's to his movies like, "Babyboy" and "Four Brother". See how far an extra can come.

I noticed that as well when I saw it last year. I was like wow look at em now.

Yeah, I noticed that as well.

And the guy that shot the father was in quite a few movies. The Wood, Sunset Park..... I can't think of anymore. Anyways, he shot and killed I think his brother in law and is now in prison. His name is Deandre Bonds or something like that.

Yes that was Deandre Bonds. I read about him being in prison also. Did you know that Denzel Washington had cast Deandre Bonds in "Antwone Fisher". Then he got put in prison for the shooting. And Denzel recast the role with an unknown. Deandre was supposed to play Antwone's friend Jessie. Too bad for Deandre. That role would have been really big for Deandre Bonds.

Actually, De'aundre Bonds didn't shoot anyone. He stabbed his aunt's boyfriend to death during an argument and is serving 11 yrs in prison for manslaughter.

Ok it's been several years since I seen this episode and I just remembered now to come check what happened with it since after that episode I didn't have the opportunity to keep watching the show back when it was airing. The shooting was the last episode I saw.

From my memory of it, wasn't TK in the dominating position with the gun on the punkass who stole from the kids, and then his father came out of the blue and interferred like a total dumbass? That's how I remember it going down. If the father had not interferred like a total dumbass, then the father would never have gotten shot.

Therefore, when I read in this thread that "he forgave TK" that sounds like a load of horse manure since it's his own fault he got shot. He needs to forgive himself for being a total dumbass. Not try to pass the buck and blame TK for his own stupidity.

Thanx for clearing this up because I just saw the episode today where Robert comes home and I was wondering wtf was going on. I have a question tho...when he comes home he's in a wheelchair. Is he paralyzed from now on? Or was it that he was just weak so he's chillin out in a wheelchair for a while?

He had just been shot. So my guess is he had to heel from the shooting. They only had Robert in the wheelchair for about two episodes.

The other night i saw the episode were he got shot oh man this is a terrible show but its so dumb its funny to watch.

I remember this episode real well. Where was Michael? There father was shot and is near death and no one contacted him?! I know Kenny left the show, but they could at least mention him, saying none of his college roommates don't know where he is at the moment, but they will tell him what's going on, when he return home.

I know right! I was thinking the same thing. It's like he went away and they replaced him with T.K. No, not like, they did. They could have had a fake phone convo with him or something, anything, instead of making it look like since he went to college or whatever he's no longer a part of their family. Gee, glad my family still talks to me since I started college.

I'm old enough to know better but too young to care.

That's like Mike Douglas on My Three Sons. He got married and moved away, and they mentioned him a few times, but after awhile it's like Chuck Cunningham or Judy Winslow.
