Tough call, I loved the whole series. Probably have to go with s1-s3 as long as David L. Lander (Elvis) isnt in the episode. I hated that character.

We used to make sh-t in this country. Build sh-t. Now we put our hands in the next guys pocket.

I am still watching Pacific Blues. A native Calif outside of USA for 28 years miss going to Venice Beach.... I grabbed this for the sites believe it or not. Took a while to warm to the series for me as each show is exactly like the other just different crimes and vics... I swear since I am watching one ep after the other that I recognize the same females just different coverings LOL...

Sorry for the rant back on topic.... I like season 1 - 3 and yes Elvis was a waste of film... I am in the middle of season 4 and I don't like the new members but understand that the show had to change as stated in the Rant you knew what was going to happen. There is not a new character that I care about. I am amazed how long Rick Rossovich had to wait for his 1st Lieu bars and TC got them in Season 4 automatically jumping Sarge to 1st Lieu and no butter bar in between!

I should never come in to IMDB in the middle of an old series as I learn way too much. For example last week I learned that there would be a break in characters by this here question.... I don't go into the questions as they will have spoilers..... What I saw today is my fav lady Kelly "Darlene Vogel" is leaving soon guess she is taking the detective role and possibly leaving "TC"! Yep I R A romantic and could not wait for those two to get together.....

I enjoyed Rick Rossovich in Top Gun and at first happy to see him in this show... Then I got bored of him to now miss him as LT. Understand he was a very nice actor to work with as is Paula Trickey.

Must say one nice thing seeing this on DVD is that one does not have to wait for next week or be ruled by the networks. But best of all are the included extras. Bloopers were outrageous.

I know I am only in the middle of the 1st (4th season) of the new castings, it will be interesting if I will come to give a damn about the new members. The character Amy Hunter is playing is warming up. I like strong ladies especially those who can take care of themselves whilst being attractive!

Edited to say that I have sort of finished the series.... I did not like S4 - S5 ergo to say the best was the first three years which I did enjoy. I fast forwarded much of the middle of season 4 and much of season 5.... I got the the point that it was a burden to finish the series.... A shame IMHO.... But that is me a native Californian...

I first got into Pacific Blue when they were on Season 4. Didn't even know it existed until I saw a tv guide article saying that Mario Lopez was joining the cast. I liked Mario and started watching it and got hooked. Then I learned that it had been on for a while and got caught up watching the older episodes on reruns. So while Seasons 4-5 have a special place in my heart as the seasons that introduced me to the show, I must agree that S1-3 were much better.

Uh-oh.
Not a word you want to hear in this house.
Catch ya on the flip side.

Well, I know I got into this show a lot later after this show was canceled. I got into it by watching reruns of it on Reelz, but then they stopped showing it, so I bought the DVD set. Anyway, I have to say that I wasn't too crazy about seasons four and five compared to the first three initially. However, some of the episodes and newer characters really grew on me. The character of Monica really grew on me as I didn't like her at first, but I started warming up to her a bit.

However, the last two seasons felt more dramatic and darker than the first three, which always left room for funny moments, even though there were some funny moments and seasons four and five.

If I had to pick, I am all about seasons 1-3.

All I need is one mic...

The show went on a different direction with the new cast in seasons 4 and 5, which is why it felt different. Thus losing its viewership till it got canceled. The first 3 seasons was the best, period.

Definitely the early seasons.
