I wish Lithia was made into a full length movie. It was a great episode, but it had so many issues, that it left me with many unanswered questions, like the following:
How did all men just disappear, and was the appearance of the man-killing virus really just by accident?
There is the issue of a centralized authority being in charge of the distribution of resources, and the result that resources keep getting fewer, leading to smaller rations.
Even though Hera has spread her philosophy that men caused all the violence, wasn't she the one who awakened the man from days of old? Why? Also, wasn't it strange how quickly the women raised in a "non-violent" culture became warriors, when they had the motive. Is violence really a male trait?
There is the issue of romance, love, and jealousy. In the all women world, women find comfort with each other, but let the rooster loose in the henhouse and watchout!
This advanced society of the future seems to have reverted back to 18th century technology. What has caused the future society to shun progress? It reminded me of Anthem by Ayn Rand.
The man convinces the village of women to fight for their freedom. I would have like to see that expanded beyond a pep-talk speech.
The story needed more than 40 minutes.
