I thought all the episodes were supposed to be science fiction. This episode was religious. Josh's name was Joshua Butler. Joshua is the Jewish form of Jesus (the Greek name).

yeah, i remember when i watched the show that a few of them, thankfully very few, are pretty heavily religious. They are the rotten apples in an otherwise great batch, in my opinion. I came for the sci-fi, tolerated the religi-fi, stayed for the great stories.
shareYeah i didn't like those episodes either. Say what you want about the last two Twilight Zone revivals but they were smart enough to stay away from shoehorning religion into everything.
