Can someone explain the ending of The Vaccine

I know everyone was immune to the virus and the three that took the vaccine died to it. But why were they immune and why did the three die, did I miss something in the episode?

reply

They were naturally immune. Introducing the foreign vaccine betrayed their natural vitality.

Good episode but ludicrous ending. Sure, with every virus some people are lucky enough to have genetic immunity. But all them happening to be in the same place at the same time? Classic deus ex machina.

reply

There were only about 6 people in the hospital that had developed immunity from the virus, they made it very clear that there were hundreds or even thousands of other patients and staff that had died from the virus. This is reasonably plausible. There could have been other similarly immune people scattered around the planet as well that they did not know about because they were isolated so it wasn't like they were saying that they were the only immune people on earth.

reply

I thought the infection scare that caused them to be quarantined had given them immunity.
