Looking for an episode...

Hi folks, I have been looking for an episode for years, and I just read all the synopses on Wikipedia again, and I just can't find it. I'm not even sure anymore it was on Outer Limits, although I was very sure of that before...

My memory is very vague, but here we go:
What I remember is that large parts (or even all) of the episode played in some kind of alternate reality, which consisted only of a normal-looking, but quite big house. I think only the interiors were shown, and I remember it to be quite dark. In my memory, there were just four people in this house, and I think they were two couples. It is possible that they were somehow "trapped" in this house / alternate reality. It is also possible that this place was some version of an afterlife or that it all just existed in the characters' imagination.

What I also remember is that of all OL episodes I saw, it was by far my favourite one. It was not very Sci-Fi-ish, and it was pretty emotional. The characters' love for each other played a central part. I think in the end, one of them (or all) had to make some kind of decision if they stay together in this "dream-world" and be happy, or not.

If anyone has an idea, which episode this comes from (or if this might be from another show or movie) - thanks in advance!!

Thanks! When I read the summary for this one, I also thought it's the only one that comes at least a bit close. I saw it's on Youtube, will watch it there and let you know if it's the one. Maybe my bad memory screwed things up quite a bit...

I had a look at it and it's really weird. I agree with you that it must have been this one, because it's pretty much the kind of plot I remember. However, I had really different images in my head, especially I didn't remember any humanoid monsters at all... Well, I guess it was just too long ago. Thanks again for your help!

Actually, this sounds like an episode from the original OL series in the 60's. I remember it well, it was called The Guests.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guests_(The_Outer_Limits)

this was one of the late, great Gloria Grahams TV appearances.

They live in a spooky old house (with a monster upstairs) that is keeping them all young. If they leave the property they all age and die. That's the sacrifice that one of them makes.

Not sure if this is the one you mean but it fits most of your description.
