95-98 era?

The MadTV I know is terrible, but way back then it had David Herman and Artie Lange, how bad could it have been? Anyone familiar with the real old episodes wanna give their two cents?

The early Mad TV was great, it was the Anti-SNL at the time and was actually constantly funny. Then around the 2001 season (about right when I stopped watching it), the show became a wannabe SNL and very unfunny.

Because sponges never have bad days.

It used to be gold. The best seasons were 1995 - about 2002.

MadTV's last season wasn't very good, but the ones before it were funny. It isn't common knowledge that MadTV is awful.

That was when the best people were on it and the show was actually funny. After 2000 though, it started to get lame now I can't even bear to watch it.
