8 p.m. ET tonight.
Can't wait!!!
shareWhat a letdown! Not enough Stuart and the "winner" didn't deserve it.
I think the "winner" was the only one willing to do their schtick for this crappy special
that was bad, just bad
It was practically just another clip show episode, but I wouldn't say I was disappointed. Near the end of the original show's run it had pretty much resorted to clip shows for quite a while, even the series finale. Honestly the older stuff is funnier anyway.
I don't get the ending with that black woman. Who is she?

Sad. They made a dog's breakfast out of that anniv show. Few clips that were genuinely "classic" and the few that were were too truncated. However, it was nice to see old favorite players again. They all looked great! Deb's Swan was incredible! One of the best talents on the show.
I still think Stephanie Weir and Will Sasso should be on SNL.
Yeah, that wasn't really worth doing if they were just gonna half-ass it that much. I remember I preferred this show to SNL by a large margin, and watched it all the time, both new episodes and reruns, but stopped a couple seasons before it ended because it just wasn't funny anymore. It was kinda nice seeing some of my favorite sketches again, and I agree Deborah Wilson's Miss Swan was perfect, but all in all it felt kind of pointless. I would've rather seen interviews with the former cast and crew, talking about how the show came to be, how they found their rhythm, if they were ever nervous about competing with SNL, where their inspirations came from, etc. Give us something new or that we don't know. Instead it feels like the cast just got together to hang out, almost like a class reunion, and someone decided to film it. I was hopeful for the "favorite character" thing, that we might see Miss Swan or Stuart one last time, but instead they went with some chick who must've been from the last season, because I had no idea who she was. Oh well. It was okay for what it was, I guess, but it could've been so much better.
-I wonder if you can refuse to inherit the world.share
-I think if you're born, it's too late.
Yeah that was really lame and Stephnie Weir didn't even get her own segment?!?!?!
shareI enjoyed it for the most part. The best parts were the ones with the classic and great cast members mingling or what have you. Those were fun to watch. And by classic I mean Mo, Michael, Debra, Nicole, Stephnie, Will, Alex and Phill. While I like some of the newer performers, I was excited for this to see the all time greats in their element again and their just wasn't enough of them. Too much Bobby for sure. And I agree that Stephnie not getting her own segment was bull.
The bit with Bon-qui-qui winning was stupid. I think I got the joke they were going for, or at least I hope it was typical MADtv in that of course the best ones won't win but for them to spend four or so minutes on just her at the end... kind of ruined the special for me. I didn't even want them to bring that *beep* character up and not only do they, she gets more attention than Stuart, Lorraine, Dot, Oprah, etc. Really dumb.
But something good came out it I guess. We can finally watch full episodes of seasons 5 and up on The Cw Seed website, which is better than anything we got in the special. I've been rewatching my Seasons 1-4 DVDs for so long now.
No road goes on forever.
They heavily featured Ike Barinholtz. From what I remember, Ike wasn't really the focus, but I understand him being featured because he's one of the most successful alums right now.
I like that they had a mix of the stars reflecting and then a few comedy bits like Michael McDonald mocking people and Bobby pursuing Crista. The problem is that this was a long running show, but it really wasn't that good. We saw from the clips that only a few of them were funny, and how many would you really quote?
Bon Qui Qui is great, but if that's your most memorable character, no wonder the show never really was a competitor to SNL.
These nostalgia programs are always worth checking out though.
What the heck did Debra Wilson do to herself? Shaved head (well it grows back) and tattoos all over her body?!
Anyway I was expecting more of a sit down interviewing the group about characters, behind-the-scenes and such.
This was kinda disappointing but nice to see the cast again. I wish the entire series would be released on DVD already.
Also wish the show would come back. The next wave of cast members never really got going. Plus it'd be cool to get new sketches with classic characters.
