I think the movie could've been much better. The premise was

orig in some ways; although, there was an older b/w movie that had people falling asleep before and it was a time travel type of movie. I can't think of the name of it, but the people fall asleep minus like 2 or 3 other people ONLY to discover that time stood still & they were being punished for their actions.

anyway, it was a good movie. it definitely reminded me immediately of "the langoliers," although, I saw "the langoliers" first and eventually that other movie.

Also there's a "Twilight Zone" episode from the 60's where the airplane passengers fall asleep & it's a time travel type of episode too.

Regarding, "The Langoliers" exclusively, it was funny in some parts and it was so weird when they were @ the abandoned airport. Plus, there was no background music in some of the scenes, which made the movie extra strange.

I didn't think the acting was bad. I just thought when I saw the actual langoliers I honestly laughed & the first thought that came to my mind is Pac-Man. LOL
