I always thought there should have been a 3rd Haunted Mask story in which Carly Beth's brother finds the mask and put it on since unlike the other kids, he doesn't know the mask is evil and will stick to his face. It would have made for an interesting story if Carly Beth had to save her brother from the mask and destroy it once and for all.

They acknowledged it. Carly Beth tells her little brother "you're lucky you only put it on once because if you put it on three times it will be on forever." Or something like that.
shareIf there's a part three; then it could be super dark or something in that direction. I felt like if something happened, then the mask would start using the ones around Carly Beth against her to make a "bargain" of sorts; that Noah will be freed if she gives herself over to the mask.

The Haunted Mask Lives was never released, as it was a part of the cancelled Goosebumps Gold series. There were two sequels in the new series though called Scream of the Haunted Mask and Wanted: The Haunted Mask.
shareI thought it was weird and ironic that Carly Beth and Sabrina were played by Kathryn Long and Kathryn Short. Like it's almost as if they too were characters by Stine because they share not only the same exact first name but their last names are opposites of each other.
