Series 1 Episodes still in wrong Order
Quote taken from Wikipedia about it:
"The first season was not aired in the intended order. This site and the BBC website list "Working Girls" as the first episode, and epguides.com[1] states that "Mathew, A Suitable Case for Treatment" was aired first. In the VHS version, "Big Wednesday" was the first episode. This last version makes the most sense: in "Big Wednesday", Matthew's surfing board gets damaged; and this is visible or at least mentioned in most of the other episodes. "Big Wednesday" is the first episode proper, but shortly before it was due to air, in real-life a boxing match ended with one of the boxers in a coma, and the BBC felt that "Big Wednesday" was unsuitable to show as a result, and changed the episode. "Big Wednesday" was shown later in the first series."
It still does not seem completely right to me.
The damaged surfing board really does get mentioned or can be seen in some episodes.
But, in "The Great Escape" Matthew leaves the bath room carrying his surfing board and it has no ironing mark on it, which would place that episode even before "Big Wednesday".
In many ways "The Great Escape" makes much sense if considering it the first episode of series One - introducing the characters etc. Could not find any episode-listing placing "The Great Escape" first though.
Any thoughts on that?
The varying amount of rent Mandy owes Matthew might give additional clues to the correct order.
my guess:
1. The Great Escape
2. Big Wednesday
3. Working Girls
4. Bad Timing
5. Matthew a suitable case for Treatment
6. Fame
