shareBig Wednesday. What a great first episode of a comedy series.
"Be like me - wax your board".
"I was ripping the piss out of him. Saying I liked his necklace was another way of saying 'Your necklace looks like a turd on a string'".
"Just think, she's laying there right now, alone, legs-a-kimbo, gagging for it! You stupid shagwit - why couldn't you have brought her back here and we could've both had a go!"
Matt has so many great lines in this episode.
"It is better to die once, than to live in constant fear of death."
Yeah I agree for Big Wednesday. It's great at the end when Martin says 'so much for Big Wednesday' LOL class
If you love something, set it free, if it comes back, set it on fire!!!!!
"fame" is my favourite
" girls dont shag guys that say okey dokey" and then " the fury" comes along with the lyrics ..." nighty night" lol , classic :)
I like Matthew:Suitable Case for Treatment, mainly because it's got my favourite band in it, the Manic Street Preachers..
shareI love "Big Wednesday" too! I love the bit when Matthew (Ben Chaplin) says that Paul Johnson, the boxer, has a northern name "like Arthur Blackpudding or something"!
I also love the episode where Matthew stays in all day (as usual) and messes around. He imitates Robert DeNiro in "Taxi Driver" (and in the process accidentally scratches his knee, which makes him think he's losing blood and dying!). And the bit where he imitates the scene from "Reservoir Dogs" and cuts the teddy bear's ear off!
Ben Chaplin is HILARIOUS in Game On - I stopped watching it when that new guy took over. He was so CRAP - he was as funny as a funeral!
He wasn't crap! He was actually pretty good once you got over the shock.
My fave episode was the last one when Matt finally went out and "sung" at the gig.
Actually any time when Matt leaves the flat is hilarious.
i haven't seen many episodes, so i'm going to get the DVD soon, but i have seen big wednesday, really funny episode especially arthur blackpudding, i also have a slight memory of when matt gets his bits and pieces stuck in the hoover, and then i think he calls the others a bunch of tossers lol
shareI don't have any favourite episodes, just favourite moments. Like when Matt returns from singing at the gig and finds Martin and Mandy in bed. Love the way he says "You two bastards been shagging?"! Also love the bit from the second series (I think) when Mandy is on about how they 3 of them know everything about each other and can't go to the toilet without telling someone, then Matt pops his head round and says "just going for a dump."
Series 1 is the best by a mile.
By FARRRR "suitable case" was the best episode.
Its one of my favourate episodes of any sitcom not just game on!
'When your slapped, you'll take it and like it.'
I really loved the episode where Matt wakes up in Mandy's bed, then gets out and he's wearing Mandy's underwear. Classic. My second favourite would be the one where he cuts the Teddy Bears ear off. Or what about Mandy's gay friend who kisses Matt ????? Neil Stukes played it so well you could believe that he didn't realsie it was gay.
Such a great comedy. Shame it was only 3 series. Both Matt's were fantastic. Quite different but the same - both double hard bastards!!!!
Season One would have to be 'Fame' where Matt joins the band! The performance is hilarious with the sobbing and wailing! My other favourite episode is with Neil Stuke's Matt in Season 3, episode 3 where he gets the vacuum cleaner stuck on his manhood! lol!
shareSuitable case for treatment purely for the story about matt's dad.
-"Matthew? What exactly do you mean by these stiff stains on the towels?"
"And i said to him-"
"Theyre SPUNK dad."
Class.
Haha, the spunk line has to be one of my favourite ever. I always wondered if its a live audience because some of the laughs just aren't realistically big enough.
shareI like all the episodes of season one. The other seasons felt cheap and amaturish after Matt left. His replacement is a joke. Ben's replacement is so bad in that role it's just not funny. The show had definitely lost it's magic by the time season two got going. One thing really angers me and that's Mark going on and on and on and on and on and on about shagging all the time since he met that nurse. It irritated me to no end!. This show ran for two seasons longer than it should have done.
So with that said I shall finish with: nighty night then!
