Makeup job on Frank Kelly

The makeup artists should have gotten an award of some kind for their work on the guy. Seriously.

Agreed. He looks absolutely ghatly, sometimes I wonder if that's makeup on an actor at all or is he a real preson.

In a book about father ted they said that Frank Kelly was a very lonely man (tounge in cheek I hope) during filming and no one would eat lunch with him because they couldn't stand looking at him.

They also said to keep an eye on the area surrounding jacks chairs and watch how it gets worse though out the run of the show, like Jack has infected it

and Frank Kelly is absolutely adorable when out of character. He has the look of such a gentle, sweet, old man.

I remember an interview with him just after Dermot died, in which he was expressing his sadness, and I thought, 'Who the feck is that?'
