Canon?
Sorry to ask, I just watched all the films in a row. I have watched 1-6 when I was a kid, but now, I wonder if this movie is considered as canon or not?

shareNo, it is not. It is about a demon in the "real" world whom took a liking to the character of Freddy, and used that persona to wreak havoc on the actors in the films.
It is outside of the cannon established between parts 1-6. It is it's own stand-alone film with it's own continuity.
Your correct its a stand alone I will say its a pretty good movie each freddy movie is a different type of film nightmare one is a great slasher nightmare 2 is a all right possession flick.Nightmare 3 is a really good sequel not great.Nightmare four is a good popcorn flick with a great lead an best freddy death. 134 are the 3 best of the franchise new nightmare dosent count.Nightmare 5 is were it gets rough with a boring drama nightmare about abortion its ok but the lack of kills an abortion talks make the flick feel boring but the gothic tone is cool an the kills we get are all right nightmare 6 is horrible but its a passable kids film it diss respects all the other films though by ignoring them all even the first then killing freddy in the same way as the first. New nightmare is a pretty good film
