Was my FAVORITE movie when I was little!! Anyone else?!

Oh my god, I've been looking up movies I haven't seen for ages, and I just realized that Thumbelina was my favorite movie when I was little. I think I might have loved it more than my Disney movie because I'd watch it almost everyday; it was such a big part of my childhood! I'd wish that I could be tiny too and meet a fairy prince, and I'd even pretend to have a Thumbelina haha (sounds so weird). Then I'd get really sad because I knew it was impossible.

I just saw some clips from YouTube, and it brings back so much memories..

A few things I remember: I remember getting kind of disgusted that a frog and a mole wanted to marry Thumbelina. Also, Thumbelina was kind of annoying, and like another topic mentions, she showed her legs a lot. Haha!

I'm kind of surprised it got really bad critical reviews and has such a low rating on IMDB. Was this not a success? Even when I watch it now, I think it is well-made. But I might be biased because I loved it so much.

I've seen this movie recently for the first time and although I'm grown up by now I find it absolutely gorgeous. The animation is just great - Don Bluth even used some interesting cgi effects that must have been rather sophisticated in 1994.

I just think the movie had too many characters. It's hard to focus on Thumbelina and her prince when you get a thousand characters that are somehow contributing to the plot.

I love this movie,
I had to watch it a lot while baby sitting but I never got tired of it. I love the ending, with the leaves and flowers and Thumbelina growing wings and flying away with her prince -- every little girl's dream, IMO.

We used to watch this movie in my afterschool daycare when I was little. =) This, My Neighbor Totoro, and the Velveteen Rabbit. We would watch them ALL the time, and they were my favorites when I was little! I just recently watched Thumbelina again, and I still love it! I was so happy to see it again.

I used to watch this all the time when I was little--I still love it!! Awhile ago I found a copy and watched it again and I was like, "oh, yeah! I love this part!" It all came back to me. I love the music, too! I still know all the words to "Let me be Your Wings"!

theres sumthing wrong with sum ppl at IMDB cuz sumtimes they give really good movies bad ratings I saw this movie on youtube for the first time yesterday and I liked it I iwsh I wuldve seen it wen I was little I probably wuldve enjoyed it more but it was still good I love those movies where you can think back and it brings bak so many memories for me it was the Anastasia movie which I was completely obsessed with lol that also has a pretty low rating here

I bet if it was Disney it probably wuldnt

I vaugly remember seeing it when it came out in theaters. I don't think it
was my most favorite movie (That honor went to The Little Mermaid, which
I still love), but I did enjoy it a lot.

Now I have it on DVD at 22 years old and I enjoy it very much!
(I got it for the music because the actual CD is so pricy, but I ended up
liking it in the end.)
The animation is beautiful and the story and songs are just fantastic.
"Soon" is my favorite. I can identify with it because
I'm still waiting for that special someone. :) It speaks to me.
