watched this other night(s)
Took me about 5 nights as each time kept falling asleep but nevertheless was impressed by the sets, score, Baldwin (would've made a great batman for 89 or Forever), and just the overall look/feel of the 30s era. obviously it was made due to the mega success of the pulp noir aesthetic Batman89 (as were Dick Tracy and The Rocketeer and later The Phantom - its like Hollywood figured Batman89's success was due to the 30s pulp noir style as opposed to it being 'Batman' like 'Superman' or 'Spiderman'). and as if in turn Batman Begins seemed very influenced by this Shadow film
'Margot Lane' felt like such a deliberate thing (Margot Kidder/Lois Lane) that actually had to check it out as thought maybe the name was made up for this film as abit of a homage, but obviously she and The Shadow predate Superman
