When the first issue of the magazine, "The Living Shadow" was issued in April 1931, the magazine was a quarterly, to be published four times per year, or every three months----but the first dozen or so issues took the magazine from a quarterly----to one that was published Twice A Month!! From four issues per year to Twenty-Four issues per year!!! The atmosphere of the first year was what made "The Shadow" not only hot but a white hot commodity! And the key was Mystery about The Shadow himself! What would work for the first movie (or an HBO series if that's the way they want to go----Mystery!
