Did anyone but me think that The Shadow looked a whole lot like Daniel Baldwin? Perhaps they made up Daniel to be the Shadow, that way he would kind of look llke Alec, yet be enough different to not be recognized when he is The Shadow.
I haven't read anything that suggested this maybe true, but often times they don't reveal stuff like this.

The reason The Shadow looked liked Daniel Baldwin is because Daniel looked a like his older brother, Alec, who played both the Shadow and Lamont Cranston.
The world will look up and shout "save us!" And I'll whisper "no."
No..Daniel did not play the Shadow. That was all Alec with a appliance on his face.
I remember reading a interview with him where he talked about loving it application process and the look, but hated the removal process and would frequently piss off the makeup artists by simply ripping it off at day's end.
