One thing that rubs me the wrong way

I'm seeing this 20+ year old flick for the first time. Too much sugar for my taste--but it really irritates me that--though a Christmas movie--the score keeps bursting out with strains from Mendelsohn's overture to "Midsummer Night's Dream"--music more appropriate for the Summer Solstice.

It was pre-9/11.

Not a fan of Mendelssohn, but the piece fits the scenes fine.

Trading places takes place at Christmas and New Year's, but there are at least two Mozart pieces in that film (overture to Marriage of Figaro for sure).

Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. Is very bad.
