The title

It's been a long time since I have seen the movie but I remember enjoying it. Something that I just read sparked my curiosity. The title of the movie is a slogan used by probably one of the biggest competitors towards Kellogs, the Post cereal company. Does anyone remember any specific mention towards this in the film or is this just a hollywood assimilation for a good working title?

Well it's based on the book of the same title from T.C. Boyle, so no hollywood assimilation. In the book, Post is mentioned many many times, but not the slogan. As I learned, all the facts in the book, surrounding John Harvey Kellogg, are very true. The brother Will-thing (most spectacular "family war" I was told), the fire, the competing leeches who want to start their cereal business and all, it happened exactly like that back then. Ok, there was no George, no Lightbody, I guess.

Anyway: I'm sure Mister Boyle chose the title because of Post's slogan, I don't think it's a coincidence.

Thx for the info therefore. Before that book, I didn't know Kellog actually existed. Now I got stories to tell during breakfast...
