Is there any reason why he has a british accent in some scenes and an american accent in others? Here's a clip:

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

He didn't do a British accent in ANY scene.

The accent Broderick affected was typical of well-educated, well-bred men of the era, especially those educated in the Northeast. To the modern ear, it's fussy-sounding. However, it's clearly not a British accent.

He sounded American to me.
