Apparatus while Lightbody Sleeps

I could not determine what was hooked up to Lightbody when nurse Graves peeks in on him and he is sleeping. Any help? Thanks

It's a very quick shot. Even paused it is difficult to figure out just what is going on, or in as the case may be. There is what looks like a bowl on his head with a tube from above connected to it. Above and to the left slightly dangles a hot water bottle. Tubing from it disappears under the covers, and a tube runs from further down down to an earthenware pot. A slow dripping sound can be heard.

I think it is just a sight gag made up to further establish that Kellogg was an out and out quack.

It provides fresh outside air to the sleeper. The tube is connected to the window. The muslin curtain from the tube is what is over the face of the character with Green's disease.
