Where is this movie made in Chicago?? I think this was one of Culkin's better movies not bad his room is sweet with the basketball court and whose house did they make this movie in or is it just a set??

they made it at the biltmore estate in asheville, nc. i was there while they were making it when i was a baby.

I am not sure where in Chicago it is made since I have never been to Chicago, but the scenes I believe are when Richie is going to his high school is filmed in the city of Chicago.

Has that estate been used in other movies? Does anyone know?

"My Fellow Americans"
"Mr. Destiny"
"Private Eyes"
"Being There"
"The Swan"---I've read that this was the first movie, 1952.

I'm sure there were probably more and more to come.

The IMDB info toward the bottom says it was filmed at the Biltmore Estate in NC.
