This movie would be very well-received if it came out today

Or at least not be as low as 4.7. Compared to most family films that come out these days, Richie Rich is quite intelligent and witty. I recently watched it again for the first time since I was 12 (I'm 20 now) and realized that it has enough to entertain kids as well as adults. Anyone agree that this is actually a quality movie by today's standards?

Well it certainly has more quality to it than most kids movies today.

Yes. Especially considering all the kids movies coming out today, all Harry Potter and 3d crap...

As a comedy it was stupid, as an action/adventure it was OK.
