It would be interesting IF they decided to do a sequel to Reality Bites, & have all the actors back as their characters, almost 20 years older! What do you picture the characters like in 2010?

Lelaina, having a successful career, went on to marry and have three healthy, happy children. Troy found his niche in writing, is married to a fellow writer, the marriage is tumultuous, and they have two children together.
Vicky is a born-again Christian, married, a stay-at-home Mom with five children all of whom are healthy and happy. Vicky is only slightly overweight. Her husband loves her curves and can't wait to see her when he gets home from work.
Sammy happily lives in West Hollywood and was able to legally marry before Prop 8 passed.
I like your version better, more realistic. Fairy tale endings are nice and all but I the other ending was too fluffy.

Once in awhile, after speaking at a university, he is able to hook up with a female college student who likes the idea of having sex with a mid-level writer in his forties.
Lelaina became a successful film maker.She is married to a successful, stable and nice businessman and has one child who is now in middle school.Her life is comfortable, prosperous and calm.
Vicky is married and now owns two popular second hand stores in Houston. The stores specialize in pop memorabila. She has three children and though the family is happy they are considered to have a chaotic household by others. They don't care.

In an ironic twist Lelaina is diagnosed with AIDS, which she acquired from Troy who picked it up earlier from Janine. Since Lelaina only weighed 80 lbs., chain smokes, and survives off Big Gulps, she quickly passes. There is a small plaque in her honor at the university where she was somehow valedictorian.
Hey That's My Bike kicks out Troy because he sucks, and renames themselves The Verve.
Sammy also contracts AIDS, from Lance, his first and only boyfriend. He is not let back in the house.
Vicky discovers there was a mix up at the free AIDS clinic, and she too has AIDS. She is fired from the GAP but rehired by Old Navy.
Michael steals Lelaina's idea, and starts The Real World, Los Angeles.
troy works at rei selling socks. michael runs a doughnut food truck. lelaina is a hs teacher.
