Last movie watched: A Pure Formality (8/10)
Couldn't live with the guilt of stealing Faubin's work and passing it off as his own. He felt he was a fraud, that nothing he'd written since that great success of The Palace of the Nine Frontiers (Faubin's work) was any good. He felt he didn't deserve his success, nor the love of his friends, lovers, wives, etc.
It led to his isolation from society and to his increasing guilt over that book. His friends, ex-wife, editor, were all pushing him to write again, to publish and he just wanted to escape it all.
