Did Marsellus Want Vincent Dead?

I can't help but get the feeling that he did.

reply

How come?

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

reply

Just some hints through out the movie suggested to me that he may of.

Not to mention the fact that Vincent was a screw up and was probably a liability to Marsellus.

reply

Which hints?

And as far as Marcellus knew, Vince only had one screw up.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

Don't be so silly! This was one of his Hentch men that knew what a Big Mac and a beer tasted like!:p lol

reply

No, I don't think so

Vincent was his *beep* and that's a bond for life. Plus if he wanted Vincent dead he would have killed him instead of: letting him take care of business for him in Amsterdam, keeping his wife company, going on a donut run for them while staking out Butch's house and entrusting him to get his briefcase back. If anything I think he really liked Vincent and trusted him greatly.

No, they both seemed to be camping out in Butch's flat waiting for him to come back to it. When Butch encounters Marsellus in the street, he was carrying what seemed to be coffee and doughnuts for two people. (It was rather unlikely that Butch would come back, so it surprises me that not just Vincent but El Supremo was hanging out there but it seems they both were.) If anything, with Jules now "walking the earth" Marsellus may be more dependent on Vincent than he was. There is no evidence at all he wanted Vincent dead. Butch, on the other hand...

"Chicken soup - with a *beep* straw."
