Why is Bruce Willis?

Casted way down at the bottom on posters and in the opening credits? "And Bruce Willis."

When he's one of the main characters?

It's special billing because he was the biggest star in the cast at the time.

it could have been at his own request at the time

I also heard he was paid only $50,000 for his role in the movie.

Update: Well I actually heard Quentin paid him %50,000 for his part (I don't know if it's true or not, probably not but I remember hearing that several times) and he made $19 million, (9% of the movie from the box office)

Well Tim Roth was in Quentin's previous movie Reservoir Dogs and Tim Roth was probably thought of as being in Pulp Fiction more than Ving Rhames because he was in the beginning and end of the movie.

And maybe also because he was in the epic finale Samuel L. Jackson speech scene.

But Ving Rhames "did" shoot Zed's "you-know-what" off. Lol!

Even Amanda Plummer should've been before Tim Roth in the credits. All Tim Roth did was yap about robbing diners as opposed to banks. The only funny thing he really did was chase those Mexicans out of the kitchen at the end. Amanda Plummer's performance was way more funny like when she said "I gotta go pee" and there's a part when she's screaming at Samuel L. Jackson (after he grabs Tim Roth) and then you can see there's a big glob of saliva/spit near the corner of her mouth. I don't know if they meant to do that or it just happened and they decided to keep it but I think the spit disappears in some of the later shots but that was funny as hell to me.

Update: Someone deleted their post. (above this) I don't know why they deleted it.

But "this" post I made was replying to their question about why Tim Roth was in the credits before Ving Rhames so I'm just clearing up why it seems I went off topic.

I think bruce willis and quentin are friends

he wasnt even credited for his role on 'four rooms' so that he could do the role for free for quentin

Maybe he chose to take that billing. He is really in a supporting role, I think.
