Where were they taking Marvin when Vincent accidentally shot him?

reply

Probably back to his house. What a stupid question. Who cares?

Probably to be cross-questioned by Marsellus about the briefcase. We don't know for sure what he was doing there because the briefcase itself is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps Marvin was to be knocked about a bit but there was no Marsellus kill order out on him, otherwise he would have been shot with the others in the apartment.

Marvin was their inside man. Remember the conversation they had when getting their guns from trunk:

Vincent: How many up there?

Jules: Three or four.

Vincent: That's countin' our guy?

Jules: Not sure.

Vincent: So that means there could be up to five guys up there?

So he was likely being taken back to Marcellus since that's where they were heading to begin with. While not confirmed, I don't think Marvin was part of Marcellus' gang, but was indeed friends with those in the apartment. His reaction to them getting killed was pretty genuine, and not someone who was used to seeing people killed. Maybe he voluntarily gave them up to Marcellus for some monetary gain, or Marcellus convinced him to flip.

hmmm...interesting....could be. Or maybe "our guy" was referring to their key target

reply

Marvin was probably though not definitely "our guy". He did not look like a part of Marsellus' circle of hoods but perhaps sold out Brett and co. but did not expect them to be killed. If he was "our guy" it would explain why he was not killed.

Where they go eventually, to Marcellus' hideout. They only went to the diner afterwards because of what had happened to Marvin.
