The 'Amelie' of the '90s

I'd forgotten how quaint this movie was until I saw it on AMC again last night for the first time in some time. I can't believe there are only 2 posts on the IMDb for it! It's a truly beautiful film.

truly. but i don't see any relation to amelie.

No relation/comparison at all to the delightful and totally different French "Amelie" other than the lead actresses in each movie were cute as a button. The premises were completely different and Amelie featured many animated segments as well. Maybe Audrey "Tautou" sounds like Caraboo, LOL.

Caraboo is a beautiful film, but the OP’s comparison is a crock of shit. Perhaps posting while under the influence. We seem to get a lot of that here.

It's a lovely film and based on a true story, some girl actually did this!

It seems to be on Youtube, and I need to catch it again when I have an evening free. Phoebe Cates never looked better or gave a more interesting performance, before she left the screen to be Mrs. Kevin Kline (the lucky bitch).
