I always did, it's one of those movies that's better than it has any right to be. Yes, it's total fluff, it's piffle, but well-done fluff! With cute leads, Bonnie Hunt stealing every scene she's in, a lovely score, and well, Italy.
Hollywood has forgotten how to make decent romantic comedies, sometimes all you can do is enjoy the older ones.
Norman Jewison is one of my most favorite filmmakers, and he always knew how to make old fashioned films, this one is bringing back that feeling romantic films of the 40's and 30's used to have, it is magical, this film itself is magical, it captures the mood and atmosphere few romantic films do, this one really takes care of all little details to just be perfect, it's like a perfect meal with all the right ingredients to taste delicious.
shareNot me I'm afraid. I like the cast and director but after a while I get irritated by the silliness and the unlikeability of a very likeable cast. I think it's the kind of film that would have worked better in the 1930s, filmed in glossy B&W at a slightly faster pace.

It made me laugh so much and fall for Peter. She was an idiot for getting obsessed over a name but still she is likable for being a romantic and going to Italy to meet her true love.
So her story was part destiny and part of someone’s work. Sure she went to Italy to meet Damon Bradley but she wouldn’t have gone there and meet Peter if it wasn’t for that call.
It’s been a while since I laughed so much with a movie. Her silliness really makes you laugh but get frustrated at the same time.
I've been miserable for weeks what with the COVID and now I've been even more miserable watching my old neighborhood get looted... and then, this morning, this silly movie came on!
It pulled me out of the funk I've been in, it's such a sweet, lovely, lightweight thing. Well, it pulled me part of the way out, but what more can I ask of a movie.
