I'm just curious to know the make and model of the little red Italian car Kate and Faith are driving from Venice to Rome when they run out of gas. If you know, please post the answer.
shareRight after the scene where they drive past the Coliseum, they are shown coming out of a building that has a Peugeot sign on it. So, I have always assumed that they had rented a Peugeot, but I wouldn't know what model or year.

I'm Italian and what has been said above is true, it's a Fiat 500. It struck me because the characters must have rented it, which is ridiculous because that particular car is a vintage car today, you can't just go and rent one like that! They probably just wanted to give the movie some Italian-feel by using a typically Italian model... Too bad that that car was common only in the 60s and 70s! But then again who would notice, right? ...
