To be honest, I thought the beginning of the movie was oh-so-90s filmmaking with the stupid subplots of a Ouiji board and "fortunes" and Hollywood fluff. Fortunately, the movie got better as it progressed.
The "Fake" Damon Bradley (aka Zane) was TOO TOO funny!!! Hahahaha. I like how in the credits, they even put him as "The False Damon Bradley." Also, you can tell in Downey's eyes that he really loves Tomei.
LOL I'm like replying to a 3-year-old topic, but anyway
I think this is what the OP meant:
Also, you can tell in Downey's eyes that he really loves Tomei.
They -- Robert Downey Jr. and Marissa Tomei -- had rekindled their relationship during the filming process. Unfortunately he was then married with a child to his first wife whom he met and dated only after 42 days. Downey and Marissa had a longer history together, as they'd met and worked previously in the film, "Chaplin" (1992), an autobiography of Charlie Chaplin.
yep I can see why its bittersweet on them in real life. Just wondering how they are these days. Downey seems to be obviously happily married to his second wife, Susan a film producer, and he's pretty much on top of his game. Kudos to the guy. Though...... the same thing can't really be said about Marissa -- which is just sad for her case, despite her Oscar nom for this year in the film "The Wrestler", she remains to be unmarried.
Try not. Do or do not. There is no try. reply share
I wouldn't describe the Ouija board and fortune telling stuff as subplots. The story wouldn't exist without all that prompting Faith to go on her mission. There are bittersweet moments in this comedy, it's true.
