The real Damon Bradley

I've seen posts here before discussing about the existence of this ghost character that plays an enormous key role to all actors in the film. But figuring out who the hell this guy is shouldn't be a test.

So lets briefly go through this guy's passing

Damon Bradley call's faith at Pittsburg
Peter attempts to take DB name but fails and hires that guy from Titanic or the Phantom to play DB
Larry confirms DB is just a school mate
Faith meets Damon Bradley at the airport

Alright now lets consider what this movie is. A romantic comedy GREAT. Not a mystery.

Now based on the possibility of one or 2 Damon Bradleys existing by force or coincidence, his significance towards the end fades and so is his identity. How?

- Damon Bradley calls faith at Pittsbug (voiced by Robert Downey Jr) an obvious hint for the viewer to consider RDJ as the leading guy Faith will end up with
- Peter (RDJ) attempts to take DB name but fails and applies it to another guy and fails yet again. RDJ still lives as part of Faith's destiny
- Stuff Happens that make Fate and Peter justify their love (thanks Madonna)
- Larry drops the bomb about DB **RED ALERT!!!! KEY MOMENT HERE FOR US VIEWERS!!**

At this point we are now drawn towards RDJ who has fully embraced the role of Fate's DB and that the real DB in the airport (either the same DB who's friends with Larry and Duane, or another DB) is now just a name we could care less about as he is no longer part of Faith Destiny as we all know after Larry's confession.

Also, this cracks the whole explanation Faith gives to her class about Destino (destiny) on how one is cut in half, goes around, bla bla bla then and quotes Plato "if we just stop (SNAP) and go with the flow and follow our destiny it would lead us back to each other" ...... and then the bell rings

Agreed. I didn't know Downey Jr. was the voice on the phone at the beginning of the movie, though... Jewison must have done that to trip up the audience.

I still consider Damon Bradley part of Faith's destiny - if she hadn't chased after him, she may have never crossed paths with Peter.

THIS! I have always thought that Damon Bradley was part of her fate too. She was fated to follow him to Italy so she would meet Peter. She would never have met Peter had she not been chasing the name Damon Bradley. Damon Bradley was not fated to be her true love, he was fated to lead her to her true love.
