Gotta love Michael Caine's changing hair color

Now, I don't know if it's hairgel/grease that makes it look darker, but for the first twenty minutes, his head is a brownish-red. After that, it's a dark dark brown with a slightly reddish hue.

Regardless, it looks pretty unnatural!

I always thought it was apt that his hair in this movie actually looks like an oil slick. What did they do to his appearance in this movie anyway? He looks pretty weird.
