Cumbria shooter watched this movie before massacre.

I don't know If everyone is up to date with current affairs but recently in the UK, a man named Derrick Bird went on a rampage in cumbria, England. He killed 12 ppl with a shotgun before shooting himself. Apparently he just watched this film before deciding to take the lives of the 12. Scary stuff... I sense this board may get a few more visitors in the next few days.

The reports are saying that he went to his friend's house and they happened to watch this film on television (not a DVD, so they didn't seek the film out) whilst discussing Bird's tax problems: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/jun/07/cumbria-shootings-steven-seagal

It would be absolutely barmy for anyone to blame Bird's heinous actions on a single viewing of this film, considering everything else that the press have reported about Bird's apparently massive tax problems, the inheritance issue, the Thai girlfriend who ripped him off, etc. However, watch the lower echelons of the British press latch on to this story over the next few weeks, dropping any reference to the real issues that acted as a catalyst to his violent behaviour and using the Seagal film as an easy scapegoat.

Speaking for myself, I have had murderous urges when I hear people talking about Britain's Got Talent.

LISTEN, YOU CLOWNS! A NEED TO BE A PUBLIC SPECTACLE IS NOT THE SAME AS HAVING TALENT.

Ok, I need to go for a lie down now.

Morons!

I can sympathise with that... I wish that dreadful show would come to an end. Thankfully we're seeing the end of Big Brother this year.

This film is so heavily censored in the UK that I doubt it had any affect on him... unless he REALLY hated censorship?
